What is the more effective workout when trying to tone up? Hitting one body part a day or circuit training?

I recently changed my daily workout from focusing on one body part a day to more of a circuit training where I hit all body parts using a different excerise each day. I dont want to get bigger, I want to tone up instead. My shoulders, Back and Arms are good. I need to tone up my chest and legs though.

I do cardio 3 times a week as well.

Any advice or sugguestions would be great

Circuit training is the way to go to tone. However, if you want to tone up the chest and legs more, do a few extra sets with the exercises related to those parts. The main thing to keep in mind when circuit training is to go from one exercise to the next with very little rest. It will stress the body more, and you'll get more out of it.
