Common cold during pregnancy?
Of course I'm worried about the swine flu thanks to all of the ridiculous media hype, but I'm pretty sure what I have is the common cold. I don't have a fever, and I've got a lot of the classic cold symptoms. I'm just looking for advice from anyone who's gone through it - I'm MISERABLE! I have a terrible headache, it sort of hurts to breathe, my nose is stuffy and runny at the same time, my throat hurts, and worst of all my morning sickness hasn't gone away. I had learned how to manage it, but this cold screwed everything up because before all I had to do was eat something and the nausea would go away, but now that doesn't seem to be working. I took two tylenol and it didn't seem to do anything. Any advice???

Having a cold while pregnant is miserable, and having morning sickness on top of that is even more miserable. My doctor told me Sudafed was safe to take, and Robitussin. Peppermint tea helps with the nausea and the cold symptoms and helps clear your sinuses. The doctor suggested peppermint tea to me. She said two cups a day does wonders. It really helped with my morning sickness, too.
